SBD you brighten my day butterflies

Hello there, it’s Ali and this week Im back on the butterfly stamps from sunshine and bee designs to show you a new design. This time I’m making it colourful and bright using the ink resist technique.

TUTORIAL:
For the ink resist background I masked and clear embossed the butterflies around the edges of an A6 white card to create a frame, then I did some rainbow ink blending using Catherine Pooler’s spring fling mini ink pad collection.

Once the ink blending is done I then splatter some water onto the background and I used a paper towel to lift the the excess for a somewhat distressed look. I then cut out the background using a scalloped edge die and adhered the background onto a sparrow grey card base.

had die cut some thin frames out of gold mirror card stock and adhere the 2 smallest thin frames onto the ink blended background to frame the sentiment that has been foiled onto some sparrow grey card. I then attached some gold metallic rhinestones to complete this card.

This card were created inspired by hope, hopes for brighter days for everyone going through a hard time while social distancing. I truly believe there is always hope even in the most difficult situation. Thank you for passing by & Stay safe.
